What is an open frame display?

An open frame display is the panel, the backlight and the driver electronics on a mounting frame — without a consumer-style enclosure. It is what you order when the housing is yours.

A finished monitor arrives in a bezel someone else designed. An open frame display does not: you get the panel, the backlight, the A/D board kit and the SMPS on a frame with mounting structure, and you integrate it into the fixture, kiosk, totem or wall opening that the project actually requires.

That is the normal way to buy for signage, because in signage the enclosure is the design. A retail fixture, a transit shelter and a hotel lobby column have nothing in common except that none of them wants a plastic bezel with a manufacturer logo on it.

Our open frame SETs ship with the mounting structure already on the frame. Light and temperature sensors are supplied as parts, so your installer can position them for the real site rather than accept a factory guess. The customer mount interface is agreed per project.

Common questions

Yes. Housing is one of the things a custom SET covers — open frame is the default, not a restriction.
Shared. We supply the temperature sensor and fan control; the enclosure you build around it determines whether that airflow works.
HDMI × 1 as standard across the line. Other interfaces are part of the SET conversation.
